“Rituals of Invocation”

‘Rituals of Invocation’ I think of the global state as a cry, it is a cry of a child looking for a mother. It is this cry that develops into a song. Thus while there is pain, the sound of pain refuses to be painful. From here I develop a suite that located the cry but also the response of a mother towards healing. Eventually, both the mother and child find each other and travel back home. But it is a long time since they left and everything at this point is new. But what does it all mean at a sonic register? Here are the movements; Preparation: how do we prepare to speak to the gods? Invocation: who are these gods and where are they located? Healing: what are the possibilities of changes when one heals? How do we prepare for change that we do not yet know? Rebirth: what does tomorrow look like? Is it even important to know? The sound develops from here. We are in the middle (perhaps only the beginning) of a pandemic. Who do we call for assistance? I see the world as being in the 2nd movement, we are formulating a new language to seek interventions from other realms. I am still chanting, thinking and doing
